A henpecked mud patch transformed

A fresh patch for these once muddy chickens in Drighlington

Want to find out more?

We always like it when we discover new uses for our artificial grass and it proved the perfect solution for a mud free chicken and goat run.  The chickens can still peck at any windblown seeds as well as their gourmet food and billy the goat isn’t expected to eat thistles but gets specially prepared meals. The run was finished off with a fence high enough to stop foxes jumping over and the weed suppressing membrane and artificial grass mean foxes can’t dig under the fence.  The other advantage of the artificial grass surface is that it easy to keep clean, just a regular brush, and the chickens will help by pecking any weeds or moss that may appear.
